THEY GONNA BE R20 NOW TYLA LEAVES MZANZI WORRIED ABOUT PRICE OF GO-SLOS

If there is one South African artist who is all about exporting the Mzansi culture to the world, it is Tyla. The Grammy-award-winning singer has gone from carrying a packet of maize meal in her bag (because of her love for pap) to eating Go-Slo chips.

However, her Mzansi fans are worried that the price of their beloved snack that embodies Southern African culture will increase.

In a snippet of her new music video, the Water hitmaker can be seen eating BBQ flavoured Go-Slo chips. Another part of the music video Tyla enjoying an Apple-munch with her video co-stars.

In most spaza shops, the price of these chips range from R7 to R10.

“Go slos are gonna be R20 now [sic],” wrote one netizen.

“Go-slo price is about to increase that’s literally our lunch as students…” said another.Expand article logo  Continue reading

Although Tyla is the most recent world-recognised music artist to be seen enjoying the much-loved chips, she is not the only one. In October last year, images of DJ and record producer Uncle Waffles also enjoying Go-Slos went viral.
