SUPER SPORT UNITED AIM TO BEAT PIRATES

SuperSport travel to Pirates for the sides’ last league outing this season at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday at 15:00.

Matsatsantsa a Pitori goalkeeper Ricardo Goss feels they have had a good season and it will be great if they can manage to couple it with a top-four finish.

The men from the country’s capital are fifth on the log table with 43 points, a single point behind third-placed TS Galaxy.

Achieving their goal will not be easy for SuperSport as the Sea Robbers also want to end the season second to qualify for the CAF Champions League.

The Buccaneers are currently third on the table with 49 points, one point behind Stellenbosch FC in the second spot.

“The boys look good and, obviously we are on a good run, everyone is feeling good, and you can see a lot of smiles,” said Goss.

“We want to end it off in a good way and try to get to that fourth place.”

Though the side finished in a better place, third, last season, Goss doesn’t see finishing fourth as regressing.

“We have introduced a lot of youngsters and look at where we are on the log table,” said Goss.

“We had a lot of games this season with the participation in CAF (Confederation Cup) but the youngsters have gained some experience and we’ve got a lot of good talent coming up.

“That is one thing we can pride ourselves on this season, there’s a lot of debuts. All those guys have been doing well, I think next season we are going to be a formidable team,” he concluded.
