Coming into the music business strong is a rising star with his isiXhosa-Trap, Sosoboy Fosho real name Sonwabile Madonela. His sound is a fusion of Hip Hop, R&B, and Afropop which he would distinctively describe as Afro-Trap. With high demand from his social media fans, Sosoboy Fosho is counting down just days to the release of his debut single titled Mine which is a romantic love story.
“The song ‘Mine’ is a Xhosa love tale about how he met a new love interest and decided to pursue his feelings,” Sosoboy Fosho says.
Rooted in American Trap culture, yet with the district cultural influences of Africa, Sosoboy is unapologetic about his flows and raps. His music reflects urban African youth, love, aspirations, struggles, and style, delivered in a way that’s authentically African yet globally resonant. The single Mine, went viral on social media after it was featured as a soundtrack on e-TV show House of Zwide. It was here that Sosoboy Fosho caught the attention of international label Asanda Empires.
“They played my song on one of their episodes and I posted it on my social media and it immediately gained traction. I continued posting more reels and the reception was mind-blowing. I met Asanda Empres and we have been grinding since,“ Sosoboy Fosho adds.
