Semi-Finalists confirmed in Day 2 of the Engen Knockout Challenge

The semi-finalists of the ongoing Engen Knockout Challenge were officially confirmed on the second day of the tournament currently held at the Siripat Road Sports Ground in Reservoir Hills, Durban on Saturday afternoon.

A total of 32 Teams, equally split between Boys (U18) and Girls (U20) have been in action over the last two days to determine who would be crowned the provincial winners and represent KwaZulu-Natal at this year’s Engen Champ of Champs in September.

After a thrilling afternoon of youth football action Midland Academy, KZN Academy, AmaZulu FC and Magic Future Stars were the semi-finalists confirmed in the boys division –  while Durban Ladies, Shooting Stars, Sunflower FC as well as Toti Ladies secured their places in the last four of the competition.

Wrapping up the second day of tournament, Engen Communications Manager, Gavin Smith said the competition was entering into the more exciting phase which will guarantee fans in attendance a memorable afternoon of youth football.

“Today was another great afternoon of youth football in both the boys and girls divisions of the competition. The Engen Knockout Challenge bears testament to the amount of talent that South Africa has and as proud sponsors of this tournament, we are honoured to be a stepping stone to helping this talent achieve its full potential”, said Smith.
