Sekhukhune United shows Lehlohonolo Seema the door

Story by Happy Modise

The decision follows after the he lost match between Richards Bay at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday night. Sekhukhune’s Chibuike Ohizu gave them the lead just eight minutes into the match.

However, Richards Bay’s Fezile Gcava equalized in the 57th minute, and Thabiso Kutumela sealed the win for Richards Bay with a dramatic 93rd-minute goal in stoppage time.

This is not the first time Seema has been dismissed by Sekhukhune. He was also sacked last season after a dispute with the club’s management.

After Seema’s departure, Peter Hyballa was brought in as the new head coach, but he was let go without ever managing a single game. Seema was then reappointed in August to take over once again.Assistant coaches Kaitano Tembo and Paulos Masehe will take charge of the team until a permanent replacement is appointed.

Reports suggest that former Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler could be a potential candidate to succeed Seema.

Sekhukhune United’s next match is in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
