Kenya’s mangrove forests are crucial in combating climate change, providing marine life habitats, coastal protection, and powerful carbon storage. However, urban expansion, deforestation, and overharvesting have led to severe degradation.
To counter this, the Kenyan Mangrove Restoration Projects—led by Husqvarna, veritree, and Earthlungs—aim to plant over 300,000 trees. With more than 400,000 already secured, the initiative is making significant strides.
Beyond environmental benefits, the project supports local communities by creating sustainable livelihoods and revitalising fishing grounds. By supporting these efforts, Husqvarna joins a global movement focused on ecological conservation, reinforcing the link between environmental stewardship and community empowerment.
