Math Restaurant continues to shape Johannesburg’s wine and culinary scene with another sold-out MATH Wine Club experience, reaffirming its status as the city’s leading destination for refined yet welcoming wine culture. Hosted at Waterfall Corner Last Thursday 23 October , the evening treated guests to an unforgettable four-course tasting journey paired with exquisite wines from Taaibosch Wines and Le Chant Wines.
Guests were welcomed with freshly shucked oysters, paired with Le Chant Chenin Blanc, setting the tone for an evening defined by elegance and balance. The crisp minerality of the wine enhanced the delicate oceanic notes of the oysters, creating a refreshing and sophisticated start.
The second course featured wild mushrooms, thoughtfully paired with Pink Valley Rosé. The wine’s subtle floral notes and acidity beautifully complemented the earthiness of the mushrooms, highlighting texture and depth in every bite.
