Kaizer Chiefs’ new season is now starting to take shape, with yet another new coach arriving at the club.
Chiefs will welcome a new coach at the start of the new season, which is expected to be Nasreddine Nabi.
One of the requests Nabi had to Chiefs, was for them to allow him to bring his own technical staff. Amakhosi management then duly obliged, quickly snapping up Fernando Da Cruz, as the assistant coach. The Frenchman has already arrived in South Africa and is thought to have hit the ground running at Naturena. Just last week Thursday, he penned an emotional farewell to AS FAR which confirmed he was joining the Soweto giants.
It has widely been publicised that Da Cruz was only one of six new technical staff members Nabi requested. It is now believed that goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi has arrived in South African and has gone straight to the training ground!
“Kaizer Chiefs’ incoming goalkeeper coach, Ilyes Mzoughi, arrived in Johannesburg on Sunday evening, marking the second addition to the team’s revamped technical staff. Mzoughi follows Frenchman Fernando Da Cruz, the incoming assistant coach who touched down from Casablanca, Morocco earlier in the day.
