Today, Manchester United and adidas unveil the new third jersey for the 2026/27 season, a design inspired by the youth culture, community institutions and creative spirit that have shaped generations across Greater Manchester.
Built on an ivory base, the jersey draws on the city’s rich cultural identity, bringing together heritage references and modern construction in a design that celebrates the communities that continue to play an important role in Manchester life
A bespoke floral graphic wraps across the jersey, featuring hand-drawn rose illustrations engineered directly into the fabric. Inspired by artwork found across community spaces and cultural institutions throughout Manchester, including Salford Lads and Girls Club, the pattern adds subtle depth to the jersey while creating a distinctive visual identity rooted in the city.
Rich maroon detailing appears across the adidas logo, club devil crest execution, collar and sleeve trims, drawing inspiration from the red-brick architecture that characterises many of Manchester’s historic buildings. Contrasting green accents feature on the adidas three stripes, referencing the distinctive green doors found throughout the city, including those of the iconic Salford Lads and Girls Club.
A streamlined crew-neck collar delivers a clean, contemporary silhouette, while the back neck features a bespoke “Manchester United Football Club“ sign-off, providing a subtle nod to the club’s identity and heritage.
Designed for elite performance, the jersey integrates lightweight, body-mapped 3D engineered fabrics that enhance fit, breathability and freedom of movement. Featuring adidas’ latest CLIMACOOL+ technology, the kit is engineered to wick moisture efficiently, helping keep players cool and focused throughout the game. Strategic ventilation zones and engineered textures optimise airflow and comfort at the highest level.
The 2026/27 third kit is completed with dark shorts featuring matching maroon and green detailing, alongside ivory socks incorporating elements of the jersey graphic to create a cohesive on-pitch look.
