Kaizer Chiefs R5Million bid for Top Star confirmed by coach

Kaizer Chiefs made a huge R5 Million bid for Cape Town City star on deadline day a deal which was allegedly sabotaged by some members of the Kaizer Chiefs management.

As Cape Town City head coach has also confirmed the rumours that circulated around on transfer deadline day which saw the media linking a Cape Town City Midfielder with Kaizer Chiefs.

Coach Eric Tinkler the head coach of Cape Town City has revealed that there was strong interest by Kaizer Chiefs on Mduduzi Mdantsane a move which was made on the deadline day.

It has been reported that Kaizer Chiefs had healthy negotiations with the Cape Town City Chairman John Comitis and an agreement was reached but there was last minute hesitation from inside the Club.

Sources in Cape Town also reveal that a flight ticket for Mduduzi Mdantsane had already been bought only for the deal to collapse on the dying minutes.

According to news a staggering R5Million was offered to Cape Town City for the attacker which had tempted Cape Town City to sell one of their key players.

Now it has also been suggested that Kaizer Chiefs stalled on the deal in the last minutes with no official reason provided which left Cape Town City hierarchy disappointed as the negotiations had all gone well.

It is believed that there was a clash from the Kaizer Chiefs management on signing Mduduzi Mdantsane on deadline for a R5Million fee while his contract was left with 6months.

After the talks between Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City collapsed Cape Town City moved swiftly to give Mduduzi Mdantsane a new contract to avoid having Kaizer Chiefs snatching him on a free.
