FNB Invest and FNB funeral policies ranked top 3 in the 2026 ASK AFRICA Orange Index

FNB and RMB Private Bank have been awarded accolades at the 2026 Ask Africa Awards Orange Index™, one of South Africa’s most respected independent benchmarks of customer experience and loyalty. FNB Invest has been awarded second place whilst FNB Insurance and RMB Private Bank have been awarded third place respectively. The result places brands among the country’s leading financial services brands.

The recognition carries particular weight because of how it is earned which is through customer experience from independent and customer research conducted by Ask Africa The Orange Index™ has measured customer experience in South Africa since 2001, which makes it the longest-running benchmark of its kind on the continent. Its rankings are built entirely on direct customer feedback, gathered through rigorous, independently audited research across more than 200 brands and 27 industries. Every score reflects what customers report about their own experience of a brand.

FNB has long held that customer trust, together with the loyalty and advocacy it earns, is the foundation of sustainable growth. Independent measures such as the Orange Index™ show whether that belief is translating into the experiences customers actually receive.

Bheki Mkhize, CEO of FNB Wealth and Investments says: “This recognition is a testament to the trust our customers place in us every day. Their trust in FNB, their investment journeys, and the experiences they shared with independent researchers are what earned this recognition. It reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering a trusted investment experience and putting our customers’ needs at the centre of everything we do. Our job is to keep earning that trust in every interaction, so that more South Africans can grow and protect their money with confidence.”

Himal Parbhoo, CEO of FNB Insurance. says: “A funeral policy is a promise to a family that we’ll be there for them at one of the hardest moments they will ever face. Given that the business was launched 11 years ago, being ranked among the country’s top three for customer experience tells us we are keeping that promise with care and dignity. We do not take it for granted, and we will keep working to honour it.”

Customer experience remains central to how FNB designs and delivers its products, from first engagement to claim and payout. The group views recognition of this kind as encouragement to keep listening, and as a reminder that trust is renewed in every interaction.
