CELITIC SET TO RETURN TO PSL

The suggestion that Bloemfontein Celtic will make a sensational return to the Premier Soccer League is back on the table again.

This is however a movie that we’ve all seen over the past couple of years and very little has come of it. There was even a possibility of Marumo Gallants relocating to Bloemfontein and adopting the name Marumo Celtic, however, that went up in smoke when they got relegated from the PSL at the end of the 2022/23 season.

It is believed that the owner, Max Tshabalala, is targeting the PSL status of a current team in the league and they are confident Phunya Sele Sele will once again rise. At this stage it is unclear which team is willing to sell their status.

This is however nothing new as several businessmen have attempted to secure the return of the once fair club since Tshabalala controversially sold Celtic’s status to Royal AM before the 2021-22 season.

Celtic currently plays in the third-tier ABC Motsepe League. the chairmen still doing the negations for Celtic to come back to PSL the next season of 24/25 season
