Basketball Royalty to be crowned in the City of Tshwane 

The City of Tshwane is currently host to the Future Stars of African Basketball, as the FIBA U/18 Afrobasket is underway at the University of Pretoria Hillcrest Sports Campus, Rembrandt Hall.

This is one event which you do not want to miss as 12 African teams to court to be crowned champions. Who will walk away with Royalty status?

The FIBA U/18 Afrobasket (Formerly known as FIBA U/18 African Championships), was first held in 1977, marking 47 years since it’s inception and the second time on South African soil. As FIBA Afrobasket 2024 kicked off a few days ago, some thrilling encounters and actions has been witnessed on court.

The defending champions, Egypt have come out to retain their title, while Nigeria are sporting the most title wins in the history of the tournament. In games leading up to today, Tournament debutants, Zambia clinched an upsetting win over host Country Aouth Africa. Zambia dominated the stat sheet and proved too strong for the host country.
