“Shashalaza” showcases an emerging sound within the Amapiano landscape known as Boots, a high-energy, upbeat style characterized by its infectious rhythm, powerful percussion, and dance-focused production. The release marks a significant milestone for Airburn Sounds, who steps behind the microphone for the first time. Known primarily as a DJ and producer, he experiments with his own voice on the record, delivering limited yet memorable vocals that complement the song’s vibrant energy.

The title “Shashalaza” is derived from popular street slang used to describe someone who talks excessively. A person with “too much shashalaza” is often seen as someone who has plenty to say but not enough action to back it up. Through its catchy hook and infectious groove, the track playfully reflects this relatable social dynamic while encouraging listeners to spend less time talking and more time moving.
By combining the signature production styles of Mellow & Sleazy, the musical direction of DJ Njabsta, and the creative vision of Airburn Sounds, “Shashalaza” delivers a unique listening experience that celebrates innovation within Amapiano while remaining deeply rooted in dance culture.
