PSL confirm new date for clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns

The struggling Chiefs were supposed to host the unstoppable Sundowns in a titanic clash at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

The match is now set for Thursday, May 2 at the same Johannesburg-based venue at 19:30.

Sundowns are top of the log with 56 points from 22 matches and need just six points to wrap up the league title race.

Amakhosi are having a tough run in the league as they sit on position 10 with 30 points from 24 matches.

The league also confirmed the new date for two fixtures against TS Galaxy that were postponed.

Before travelling to Amakhosi, Sundowns will battle against the Rockets at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria on Monday at 19:30.

Sundowns will again face the Rockets in their last league game for this season at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on May 28.

The Rulani Mokwena-coached Masandawana could wrap up the title race at FNB Stadium if they beat Galaxy and Chiefs.

That will take them to 62 points while the closest rival, Stellenbosch FC, can only reach 61 points if they win all their remaining six matches
