The 16-teams set to partake in this year’s edition of the Western Cape’s leg of the Engen Knockout Challenge Boys U18 division were officially confirmed over the weekend.
Headlining the 16 clubs are the tournament reigning champions, Stellenbosch FC who won the title last year to go on and represent the province at the Engen Champ of Champs.
Stellenbosch represented the Western Cape alongside Cape Town Roses who won the U20 Girls division of the competition.
Last year’s finalists in the boys’ division, Cape Ubuntu also made the final cut alongside Cape Town City, Cape Town Spurs, Vasco Da Gama as well as the SAFA Cape Town Academy.
The Engen Knockout Challenge maintains its position as the leading youth football development competition in South Africa.
