WARNER MUSIC AFRICA EARNS MULTIPLE NOMINATIONS AT THE 29TH SOUTH AFRICAN MUSIC AWARDS (SAMAS)

The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) are set to make their triumphant return for the 29th edition this year, with Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, chosen as the host city for the official award ceremony scheduled for November 19th.

During the nomination ceremony held in Soweto on October 2nd, Warner Music Africa and Africori emerged as frontrunners, garnering a combined total of 15 nominations across various categories, exemplifying their resonance within the current musical landscape.

Africori, in particular, received a remarkable 13 nominations, with Sjava leading the pack with five nominations stemming from his album “Isibuko.” Additionally, Nigerian-born superstar CKay secured a nomination for the prestigious Rest of Africa Award.
