KIDDO CSA TO HEADLINE SOLO SHOW AT VERNACULAR LOUNGE

On Saturday 6th May Kiddo CSA will be headlining his first solo show with a three-piece band live at Vernacular Lounge in Illovo, Sandton.

Following the release of his third EP Worldwide Eye (28th May), rapper Kiddo CSA will be headlining a performance at Vernacular Lounge this Saturday, 6th May. The rapper will be accompanied by a three-piece band, Josh Mokoena on keys, Sbo Manzini on bass, and Lebo Moleleki on drums. Kiddo will be performing songs from Worldwide Eye including some fan favorites from his previous projects.

Worldwide Eye is a triumph as a project. Through five multi-colored tracks, Kiddo CSA takes fans on a whirlwind of sounds. The first track Breathe is the perfect opener with its soaring psychedelic synths. ‘Window’ featuring London singer-songwriter Moniquè Lawz and produced by Indian producer Karan Kanchan is a trap banger and has been atop 5FM’s 5 NIGHTS HIP-HOP CHART for five consecutive weeks. ‘You’re Mine’, also with Lawz and Kanchan, fuses a panoply of musical styles in production over which Kiddo and Lawz seamlessly glide. Since the EP’s release, the track has been #4 on 5FM’s 5 NIGHTS HIP-HOP CHART. Miss Me’ another fusion track sees Kiddo balance melody and punchy delivery, very much reminiscent of ‘Blessed’, featuring Blaqbonez. The EP’s closer, ‘11 Hours to London’, is a contemplative tune where the young rapper reflects on his journey thus far. Of this release, the rapper says:

‘I was aiming for a new sound… [the EP] is five chances to give people different genres so that if people don’t really like the one song, they’ll love the other one. If someone is in a specific mood they’ll go for one song or they want a different vibe there’s a song for them. With the sound I made sure that I cater to everyone and be as diverse as possible.’
