WITH the North West being one of the only three provinces without professional teams in the country, business partners – Kagiso Molefe and Sibongile Marokana – have taken it upon themselves to change the complexion of Bokone Bophirima.

The North West, Free State and Northern Cape are the only provinces not represented in the Premier Soccer League.

Though their intention seem to be a tall order, but the duo is determined to hit it in their stride to ensure they achieve their goal of competing among the best.

Molefe and Marokana shifted gears from the SAB League where their team, Bokone FC, were campaigning to the ABC Motsepe League.

They bought the status of popular side, Red Lions FC from the City of Motlosana in the North West, relocating to Bethanie where they will be campaigning under the Madibeng Local Football Association.

Having bought the status for a whopping R400 000, the two business partners, one in construction and the other in security, vowed they will ensure their investment pays off for the provincial people.

Now with Bokone FC, which was initially based in Potchefstroom, having leapfrogged to the ABC Motsepe League, Molefe didn’t want to commit on time frames on when they would be promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, as they are still new in that level, but vowed to fight tooth and nail.

He said they would want to make Bakwena ba Mogoga proud, a clan in Bethanie where they will campaigning, some few kilometres away from Sun City.
