The Gauteng MEC for Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Morakane Mosupyoe, has congratulated Bafana Bafana for their 2-1 victory against the North African giants, Morocco, on Saturday, at FNB Stadium in Soweto, Gauteng.
Both teams had already qualified for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Percy Tau and Zakhele Lepasa’s goals taking Bafana at the top of Group K.
MEC Mosupyoe said: “The game was tough especially Morocco coming players like Ziyach Hakimi, Achraf Hakimi… Our boys’ play was outstanding and impressive. They deserve all the praises for their performance and dedication.
“Playing on such big tournaments is exciting but very challenging that is why you need to thoroughly prepare and work hard. Big up to the squad,” MEC Mosupyoe said.
She urged South Africans to support the team with all have because playing for AFCON is not going to be easy and they will need more than just luck.
