Johannesburg, October 11 — Warner Music Africa is thrilled to announce the official signing of the dynamic House music DJ duo, Malumz on Decks, as they prepare for the launch of their highly anticipated EP, “Uzuri.” Comprising the incredible talents of Oscar Nyathi and Mandla Mtshali, Malumz on Decks has become a force to be reckoned with in the South African music scene. Ahead of their anticipated uZuri Album, Malumz on decks has released a single titled Siyobonana.
Siyobonana, which translates to ‘we’ll see each other again,’ is a heartfelt tribute to the challenges and losses we faced in 2023. This year, we mourned the loss of dear individuals who were an integral part of our team, making it one of the most challenging periods for us. In our quest to heal and honor their memory, we turned to our greatest strength: music. Siyobonana is a dedication to those we’ve lost and a means to provide solace and healing to those who listen. Through the power of music, we aim to help people find the strength to move forward,”- says the duo.
Hailing from Ekurhuleni, east of Johannesburg, Oscar Nyathi and Mandla Mtshali are not only renowned DJs and producers but also entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and social development activists. Together, this remarkable duo has breathed new life into the South African house music landscape, with a series of successful releases including their debut album “The Journey,” their sophomore offering “Find Your Way,” and their latest creation, the “Afro Is Afrika” EP.
Malumz on Decks‘ journey has been nothing short of remarkable, culminating in their South African Music Award (SAMA) win at the 26th ceremony, a prestigious accolade in the music industry. Their musical expertise has also earned them a coveted spot as resident DJs on METRO FM, one of South Africa’s premier commercial radio stations.
At present, Malumz on Decks is hard at work on their much-anticipated fourth release, “Uzuri.” This EP promises to be a musical triumph, showcasing their signature style, and will also feature collaborations with emerging House music talents, including the sensational Murumba Pitch.

2022: “The Malumz Experience” was broadcast across all Trace territories globally, further solidifying their international appeal.
In 2020, Malumz on Decks clinched a SAMA Award for Remix of the Year and received nominations for Best Dance Album and Duo or Group of the Year.
Also in 2020, the duo made waves as they joined METRO FM, one of South Africa’s biggest commercial stations, as part of the Urban Beat Team and became resident Mix DJs for all shows.
In 2019, they received a SAMA Nomination for Song of the Year for their hit “Shayi’Number.”
