, the Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements will convene an engagement session with the community of Mamelodi to discuss housing-related service delivery concerns.
Officials and authorities form the Gauteng Department on Human Settlements will also be present at the session taking place at the Mamelodi West Community Hall, which starts at 10am.
The meeting will afford the community an opportunity to ask question and raise various concerns directly to Department representatives. The Department will also provide comprehensive feedback on matters raised previously by the Committee and the public, as well as a detailed presentation covering the following key areas:
- Rapid Land Response
- Presentation on how FLIPS works
- Issuing of title deeds
- The GPG’s plans to help Mamelodi floods victims
- An account of incomplete/ abandoned housing projects in Tshwane
The Committee invites the public to share their views through GPL’s digital channels.
