Empangeni Gears Up to Host Family Friendly December Delights

Empangeni, Richard’s Bay and King Cetshwayo district, it’s almost time to jumpstart your festive season! The PMC (Player Management Consultancy) Water Splash Festival, which starts on 2 December, is calling your name.

Curtis Nxumalo, one of the event’s organisers and managing director at PMC says, “As someone who grew up in Empangeni, Richards Bay I always noticed how there wasn’t much fun, family activities unless you wanted to go to one of the restaurants. With little to no change since my days as a young boy regarding this, earlier this year we created an event with food, music and fun, thinking it would be small.” He adds, “Instead it blew up! So, we felt like we had to do it again when summer came back around.”

Shay’i get down:

With a festival lineup that will feature some of the best musical talent in Kwa-Zulu Natal, the PMC Water Splash Fest is sure to have every age group grooving. There will also be delicious food stalls, jumping castles, sports, colour powder and of course giant water slides. All of this will help create a day that is about sharing laughs, stories, and moments with your loved ones.

“Our ultimate goal is to gather the vibrant energy of the entire community in one unified space. Our previous experience has taught us that events of this nature have the remarkable ability to bring individuals of all generations and backgrounds together, fostering a profound sense of unity within our community. This time, we are committed to nurturing and sustaining that spirit of togetherness and shared purpose,” says Nxumalo.

Create joy, make an impact:

The PMC Water Splash Festival isn’t just about fun – it’s about supporting the community by giving people a safe place to enjoy themselves, network and access organisations that can help address social ills, like Eminence Brands, Hollywood Bet, and Vuma, who have stepped up to help support the event through sponsorships and expertise.

Scelo Zulu, Area Sales Manager at Vuma says, “Vuma’s core essence revolves around community, just as this event does. This partnership is a seamless fit for us. Our focus is fostering genuine connections that extend far beyond the festival setting. We anticipate and welcome the prospect of collaborating with other organisations to contribute to the expansion of this fantastic event.”

PMC Water Splash Festival will be the perfect opportunity to create unforgettable memories, start your year-end right and make a real difference in the lives of those around you.
