The MEC for Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation (SACR) Morakane Mosupyoe congratulates Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club (FC) after their massive win against the Moroccan giants, Wydad Casablanca.
Masandawana hosted Casablanca in the second-leg clash of the 2023 African Football League final on Sunday at Loftus Stadium in the heart of Pretoria.
Downs beat Casablanca 2-0 at home in the final. This is after the yellow national lost 2-1 away in Morocco last weekend.
“Halala Masandawana, Ka bo Yellow, for making history and winning the inaugural African Football League. They have been and are really working hard for their pedigree and deserve all the accolades. Well-done for consistently flying our football flag high and inspiring the nation,” MEC Mosupyoe added.
Mosupyoe also extends her congratulations to the fans who were there to support the team against all odds.
