DA MUZIQAL CHEF COMING OUT TOMORROW WITH EP TITLED ‘JUST A TASTE’

 Amapiano’s leading producer Da Muziqal Chef is pleased to announce his upcoming, 3rd EP entitled “JUST A TASTE”, to be released on October 27th, 2023, via Ace of Spades Record / Universal Music Group.

Following the collaborative EP “Sgudi Snyc” with De Mthuda earlier this year, which topped both streaming and radio charts in South Africa, Botswana, and Eswatini, as well as mark chart entries in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Da Muziqal Chef is following up with a 6 track EP featuring heavy hitters like De Mthuda, Njelic, Eemoh, Daliwonga, AymosSam Deep and Azana.

The EP has just gone on pre-order and already has the fans excited; this is a testament to the work Da Muziqal Chef has put in over the years; he has been behind some of the biggest hits to come out in the last few years and has worked and collaborated with some of the biggest names in the South African music scene. 

With the pre-order going live Da Muziqal Chef gave us a taste of what to expect from the EP with the track “Tshepo Ke TSHEPO” which serves as the IG track (Instant Gratification track) for the EP – a teaser track and even though it is not the official single it has already received major support from the likes of Apple Music and Spotify, giving it placement in some of the most key playlists on the platform. Da Muziqal Chef has tested the EP with some of the best ears in the music business and everyone agrees, it is an instant classic, and he cannot wait for the fans to hear what he has cooked up.

Producer, instrumentalist, and sound engineer, Da Muziqal Chef have a long string of Amapiano hits bearing his credits; “Sgudi Snyc” (with De Mthuda and Eemoh), “Emlanjeni” (with De Mthuda and Sir Trill), “John Wick” (with De Mthuda and Sir Trill), “Jola” (with De Mthuda and Sino Msolo), “Tilili” (with Samthing Soweto and De Mthuda), “Wamuhle” (with Njelic and Boohle)… the list is practically endless.

Born Tshepo Bure in Soweto, Da Muziqal Chef grew up there and moved around, doing some growing up in Orange Farm and the East Rand. Coming from a musical family, he opened his eyes to find his father a trumpeter. “Music is in my blood,” he says.

As a result, music was always his first love. He became the drummer for the church band at the tender age of 12. He would later teach himself how to play keys while in boarding school. After matric, he enrolled at Boston Media House where he did courses such as Digital Composition & Production, Sound Engineering, Music Theory, and Film Scoring which equipped him for his journey. “From there, I built my brand, through giving out mixtapes in Small Street and people got to know Da Muziqal Chef,” he says. “In my mixtapes, I got to do my voice-overs to make sure people knew they were listening to Da Muziqal Chef.”
