CHIPKINGS’ HEARTFELT ‘LERATO EP’ AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER THIS FRIDAY



After getting the country dancing with their 2023 hit, I’Phone, South African DJ Chipkings is finally ready to release his first body of work to the world. The upcoming LERATO EP will be available for pre-order from the 17th of November and the excitement couldn’t be higher across the country.

Chipkings, whose real name is Lerato Phetla, has steadily made a name for himself after releasing a series of dancefloor anthems including I’Phone, which features Murumba Pitch, Omit ST and more artists. Now, all eyes are on the award-winning DJ’s new EP, titled LERATO which means “Love”. It’s fitting because the DJ admits to putting his heart into his first release.

Speaking ahead of the EP’s pre-order date, Chipkings explained the meaning behind the album when he said, “Through heartfelt lyrics and soul-stirring melodies, I aim to create an intimate connection with listeners, allowing them to resonate with the raw vulnerability and authenticity that permeates every note

According to him, the project’s title is symbolic of more than just the meaning of the word. Chipkings added, “LERATO is not just a name, but a reflection of my artistic identity. It represents my unwavering commitment to creating music that transcends boundaries and speaks to the universal language of the heart.”

Fans of the DJ will be excited to learn that not only will they be able to pre-order the EP on the 17th of November, but they’ll also get a taste of what’s to come. Along with the pre-order details, Chipkings will be releasing a new single from his project, titled, Ucontsi Le Nhliziyo Yam.

The highly anticipated LERATO EP will be available for pre-order on all major streaming platforms from Friday 17 November. Chipkings is available for interviews to share more details about how the vision for this EP came to life.
