Zoë Modiga’s Johannesburg Show Sells Out, Last Chance For Cape Town And Durban

Multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and one of South Africa’s most important contemporary voices, Zoë Modiga, has officially sold out the Johannesburg leg of her highly anticipated “Did I Do My Thing?” Tour, set to take place at The Lesedi at Joburg Theatre on 31 July, leaving just two performances remaining in Cape Town and Durban.

Following overwhelming demand in Johannesburg, music lovers now have the opportunity to experience Modiga’s celebrated live show at the historic Homecoming Centre in Cape Town on 17 July and an intimate Sunday afternoon performance at the sophisticated Chairman in Durban on 26 July, before the tour concludes with a sold-out show at The Lesedi at Joburg Theatre.

Named after one of the standout tracks from her acclaimed new album, The Vault (2026), Did I Do My Thing? is more than a concert. It is a deeply personal invitation into Modiga’s creative universe. The song serves as a vulnerable love letter to her audience, reflecting her commitment to creating heartfelt, meaningful and timeless worlds through music.

Audiences can expect a rich blend of African contemporary music, jazz, soulful acoustic textures and modern alternative soundscapes, brought to life by Modiga’s world-class live band. The performances celebrate her remarkable four-album catalogue, spanning Yellow: The Novel (2017), Inganekwane (2020), Nomthandazo (2024) and her latest body of work, The Vault.

Widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most captivating live performers, Modiga’s concerts sit at the intersection of artistic excellence, music, culture, fashion, identity, spirituality, imagination, humanity and African storytelling. Each performance is designed to be immersive, transporting audiences into a world that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
