KMass, Alex FM, and The Share Button Foundation, will host
a special Mandela Day initiative on Friday, 17 July, bringing together children from Refilwe
Legae Home and Siyabonga Orphanage Home for a day of giving, celebration, and
community upliftment.
The initiative, made possible through the generous support of MediaHeads 360, Albany
Bakeries, Dunwell Youth Priority Clinic, and Whitney Jasmin Audiology, aims to
celebrate the spirit of Ubuntu while creating meaningful experiences for the children through
donation handovers, entertainment, music, and interactive activities that promote the values
of self-love, kindness, and sharing.
More than a Mandela Day event, this initiative forms part of The Share Button Foundation’s
ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable children in Alexandra. By bringing both homes
together, the Foundation hopes to foster a sense of belonging, inspire hope, and create
lasting memories for every child in attendance.
The Share Button Foundation also hopes this initiative will encourage more corporates,
organisations, and community stakeholders to become long-term sponsors, ensuring
continued support for Refilwe Legae Home and Siyabonga Orphanage Home beyond
Mandela Day.
Together, we believe that every act of kindness has the power to transform lives and
strengthen communities.
