Today, Lucasraps officially releases Y.O.G, a 10-track EP that captures a sharpened, intentional evolution in his artistry. Executive produced alongside Ca$h Khali, the project blends live instrumentation, spacious production, and structured lyricism across layered hip-hop soundscapes.
Y.O.G represents a focused creative identity — controlled, deliberate, and emotionally precise. The EP balances minimal tension with melodic expansion, maintaining tonal cohesion throughout.
Standout focus track “FYF” featuring Geek Fam leads the project’s visual campaign, with a music video rollout underway. The record underscores the project’s balance between introspection and presence.
The rollout began with the release of “eGoli” on 13 March, offering audiences an early entry point into the soundscape that defines Y.O.G.
Now available on all major streaming platforms, Y.O.G positions Lucasraps in a space of clarity and refined authorship — less noise, more intention.
Rapper & Songwriter, Luke Duncan Malong. Born in Cape Town but spent most of his life in the City of Durban. Lucas quickly adopted the musical culture at the very young age of 8. This early passion and love for music led him to the entertainment industry.
Lucasraps unlocked the door to his musical journey in October 2016; by performing alongside the iconic, Nasty C; at the East Coast Radio Hauwei Durban Day
Early during the year of 2017, Lucas took an award for “Best Collaboration” with Mystik Liyon.
He was also part of a rap group called “BLVCKBEAR” alongside Prodigee, Mystik Liyon, Leeroy “The Messiah” and Chris Snakes.
In the middle of 2018, Lucas left school to fully pursue his dreams. Later in the year, he signed to “BlaqBoy Music” through Dj Maphorisa.
