Basadi in Music Awards is thrilled to announce the star- studded Fashion Police team for this year’s Gold Carpet event. The team comprises three dynamic personalities who will bring their unique style, expertise, and flair to the 2024 Basadi in Music Awards, promising an unforgettable fashion experience for attendees and viewers alike.
Mona Monyane, will be gracing the Gold Carpet as a Fashion Police member. A celebrated actress, thespian, creative director, and the CEO of Power of Wellness, Mona brings a wealth of experience in the arts and a keen eye for fashion. Her holistic approach to wellness and creativity makes her a perfect fit for the role, where she will undoubtedly inspire and captivate audiences with her insights.
Joining Mona is the multifaceted Tshiamo Modisane, an accomplished actress, presenter, and fashion & beauty connoisseur. Tshiamo’s impeccable style and vast knowledge of the fashion industry will bring a sophisticated and discerning perspective to the Gold Carpet. Her ability to blend classic elegance with contemporary trends will ensure a vibrant and stylish commentary on the night’s best looks.
Completing the trio is the winner of the Basadi in Music Awards TikTok Influencer Campaign, Mmathebe from Pro Elegant Designs. This exciting addition to the Fashion Police team will bring fresh, youthful energy and a digital-savvy approach to fashion analysis, reflecting the voice and style of the new generation.
The TikTok influencer campaign, led by Reggie Rasodi, began by selecting three nano- influencers: Katlego Mthombeni, known as “Boxer Minaj,” founder of House OF Leigo; Shannon Mutongerwa, known as “Short Shannon,” founder of Rashè By Shannon M; and Mmathebe from Pro Elegant Designs. They were given the challenge of creating a glamorous look with a budget of only one thousand rand. The campaign, which ran from July 1Gth to July 2Uth, showcased the influencers’ creative processes and final outfits. Throughout this period, fans and followers voted for their favorite looks. Ultimately, Mmatebe from ProElegantDesigns emerged as the winner, impressing both the audience and the judges with her stunning design.
