Classics on Turf featuring Mshengu Project and Maleh

Music is indeed food for the soul. The only warmth in the room was the sweet melodious sounds hugging our eardrums. A memorable event hosted by Classics on Turf at the beautiful Emoyeni Estate in Parktown. Mshengu Project a six band member jazz group, remarkably cultivated and authentic in their ensemble. Silence across the room as the pianist, drummer, bass guitarist, two saxophonist and trumpeter transported the audience on an unforgettable musical journey.

The evening ended on a musical high with Lesotho born wonder and award winning Maleh gracing
the stage and captivating the audience with her smooth Neo-soul sound. The audience were all singing along to songs from her past released albums. The band members made sure everyone got on their feet and put in a few moves or two to the popular song “Chimsoro”.

The night had to end unfortunately and what an epic way to end off youth month. Gratitude to the event organisers the venue and ticket purchasers supporting the event. Looking forward to the next take.
