DEPUTY MINISTER BERNICE HAS LAUNCHED THE COQILLIUM

The Council for the Built Environment (CBE) is hosting its inaugural conference on persons with disabilities today at
Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg. The conference aims to consolidate and accelerate rights of persons with
disabilities” in the built environment.
Chairperson of the National Albinism Task Force, Mr Patrick Wadula shared insights on what Albinism is and the stigmas
around it.Mr Wadula also urged people within the built
environment to always consider all types of disabilities when constructing buildings.Delivering her speech at the conference, Public Works and .Infrastructure Deputy Minister Bernice Swarts emphasised on theimportance of inclusion and job opportunities for people living with disabilities within the built environment. “Together, we can createa world where everyone belongs. When we embrace diversity and
inclusion, we not only enrich our communities but also strengthen our societies” she said.
