ORLANDO TOOK AMAZULU ON THIER DSTV PRIMIER SHIP TONIGHT

Orlando Pirates resume DStv Premiership action with a trip to Durban, where they will take on AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium this Tuesday.

It’s one of three league fixtures lined up for the Buccaneers over the next eight days as they look to catch up to the rest of the league in terms of games played.

Tuesday’s match follows back-to-back cup victories for the Soweto Giants, who clinched a second consecutive MTN8 title before advancing to the Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinals with a 2-0 home victory over Cape Town Spurs last Friday.

Their inactivity in the Premiership has however seen them drop down to unfamiliar territory in the standings where they currently occupy 14th place after just five games played.

Pirates have so far collected a total of seven league points through two wins and a draw while falling to defeat twice. They could go up as high as 10th position with a win at Moses Mabhida, leapfrogging the hosts who sit in 11th place with 10 points earned in their eight games.

Usuthu were also victorious in cup action over the weekend, winning 1-0 away to Kaizer Chiefs, and will look to upset another Soweto outfit when they go up against the Buccaneers.

Indifferent form has however plagued them throughout the campaign, as they go into the clash following back-to-back league defeats with seven points earned in their five most recent outings.
