 – The inaugural winners of The Sing Off SA – Thee Legacy announce long-overdue sophomore album titled Isicathamiya for a New Millenniumalong with catchy new single Gumbamane Remix available across all digital streaming platforms today.

“This album has been a long time in the making, and through the ups and downs that life has served us, we are still here today persevering and allowing our passion to lead the way. This album was inspired by our fans and the love that connects all mankind while preserving the art of Isicathamiya for new audiences around the world,” says Jabulani Mthembu, lead vocalist of Thee Legacy.

Drawing from their collective life experiences, and core values of love and respect, Thee Legacy are seamlessly powering a movement in preserving the Isicathamiya artform with their captivating harmonies, while redefining their distinctive sound for a global audience, and maintaining a relevance to popular culture.

The Durban-based Isicathamiya group launched their self-titled and critically acclaimed debut album on 07 October 2016 and hardly a month later collaborated with Simba on their smash hit Wena Wedwa (MusicCraftMAN Mix) and went on to perform extensively as well as collaborate with several artists including DJ Maphorisa and Mlindo The Vocalist on Thando Remix which is also included on the new album.

Thee Legacy, comprise of founding member Jabulani Mthembu (lead), Philani Duma (tenor), Simphiwe Sikhakhane (alto and beatbox), Emille Ngcobo (bass) and Khanyisani Mazibuko (bass and alto) hail from different regions within Kwazulu Natal, South Africa (Inanda, KwaMashu, Melmoth and Ladysmith) where their love for isicathamiya was ignited.
