AMAPIANO PIONEER JAZZIQ BRINGS THE HEAT FOR HIS DEBUT GQ COVER

Amapiano pioneer and businessman,

Mr Jazziq shines bright on the latest cover of GQ South Africa in partnership with Italian fashion brand, Spitz.

Born Tumelo Manyoni , Mr Jazziq was introduced to the world as one half of JazziDisciples, a duo from Alexandra, whose dream was to take Amapiano to the world. Mr Jazziq has gone on to reshape the sound,

release platinum selling records and build a well-grounded brand through this popular dance sun-genre.

Speaking on the cover an excited Mr Jazziq expressed the following “ growing up, I used to be obsessed with fashion magazines especially GQ cause that’s where most of my style inspiration would come from. And I’m honestly very humbled that I , Tumelo a kid from the dusty streets of Alexandra is on the cover of such a prestigious magazine and cannot wait for the world to be inspired by my story”

Tumelo Manyoni professionally known as Mr Jazziq, is a South African Amapiano dj, businessman, podcaster and record producer.

He is best known for being a former member of the amapiano dj duo, Jazzidisciples and host of the first amapiano podcast, Jazziq and Friends.

Currently, Mr Jazziq holds the title of being one of the most consistent amapiano pioneers, with hit releases every year since his commercial success

He released his debut

Solo ep, 0303, on his twenty-fifth birthday in 2020. 0303 gave birth to hit singles such as hello Mo’girl ft Focalistic and the dance floor anthem, askies alongside the talented Moonchild.

Later that year, Mr Jazziq and his childhood friends, gave birth to junk park, a trendy and street culture based in the heart of Sandton and Alexandra.

At the peak of junk park and its influence on amapiano, Mr Jazziq gave

Birth to superstars, amaroto and the late Mpura and they went on to record platinum selling singles such as VSOP,

Lazi and Umsebenzi Wethu.

Continuously growing his brand and. Breaking the amapiano rules, me

Jazziq released his second ep of the year,  titled, For The Babies, on 21st august 2020.

The ep was released in women’s month in SA and hosted a star studded cast which included, Kamo Mphela, Londie London and the birth of Lady Du, under the Black Is Brown ent record label.

With numerous hits under his belt, Mr Manyoni changed gears

And partnered up with international record label, Sony Music and they released his 1st studio album, as a solo artist Party With The Englishon the 23rd April 2021.

He released his sophomore album, all you need is piano in 2022 and is currently the host of his own podcast Jazziq and friends and has helped tell the beautiful stories behind Young Stunna, Dbn Gogo, Zuma And Pabi Cooper.
