Gauteng sets up Fan Parks in the various communities, to see-off the historic Netball World

As the historic Netball World Cup hosted for the first time in Africa draws to a close, the Gauteng Provincial Government will bring the auspicious moment closer to communities by setting and activating public viewing-fan park areas across the province.

The various sites are aimed at allowing Gauteng communities to come together and be part of what could be a lifetime experience for some, as the curtain is brought down on another milestone for the country.

The initiative, which started with the Netball trophy tour of the province, also saw Gauteng taking a group of young netball players to the tournament in Cape Town.

Working with its stakeholders within netball, the provincial government has committed to taking netball to a whole new level, by attracting more players and growing support for the sport.

Meanwhile, the public viewing activations will infuse sports with music and other forms of entertainment from local artists.
