A former Amakhosi player are being linked to a one-year contract at Kaizer Chiefs Soweto rivals Moroka Swallows FC. for the season 2023/24
Former Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper Daniel Akpeyi became a free agent after he was one of several players who parted ways with Amakhosi at the end of last season.
It was not easy for Akpeyi to find a new club as he spent trials with Sekhukhune United and Swallows.
At Swallows Akpeyi was lucky as he managed to remain with the club beyond his trial period.
Akpeyi unfortunately couldn’t at the time after his trial sign with Swallows due to a Fifa transfer ban that the team was slammed with.
However, Swallows ban was lifted in January and the club could make use of the services of the former Amakhosi shot-stopper.
The 36-year-old signed a short-term deal with the Soweto-based side but after he impressed for the club since he officially joined them, he’s now being linked to a new one-year deal at the club
