Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture, Ms Beauty Dlulane, has learnt with shock of the passing of Mr Moeketsi Molelekoa, an International Association Football Federation (FIFA) referee.
The committee sends its heartfelt condolences to the Molelekoa family and the entire football community. Ms Dlulane said: “We are shocked and saddened at this news. It is unfortunate that one of our top referees, who joined the FIFA panel of referees and assistants, is now no more. Many people do not realise the hard work that comes with getting onto FIFA’s books as an official.”
