Warner Bros Films x Mattel held a premier screening on Wednesday 19 July of the much-anticipated Barbie movie in partnership with Warner Music Africa who provided the event with the Barbie album soundtrack throughout the event.
Mall of Africa turned pink as Warner Bros celebrated the upcoming release of the Barbie movie which, alongside its soundtrack premiers this Friday 21 July. The star-studded event was hosted by radio presenter Zanele Potelwa. Other official event partners included Sorbet, Simonsig, Brutal Fruit, and Essence Cosmetics.
Guests of the event included influencers Kim Jade, Faith Nketsi, Pamela Mtanga, Moshe Ndiki, Lethabo Shai, and Mrs SA finalist Vourne Kgosinkwe. All guests were spoilt for choice with the array of activations at the event including make-up and manicure stations, and life-size Barbie boxes which provided the perfect photo-ops. Additionally, Warner Music Africa provided branded popcorn boxes, including the Barbie album pre-save QR-code and two hampers for Barbie and Ken who pre-saved the album.
Barbie The Album was the soundtrack of the night which is as glamorous as the movie. Nicki Minaj, Dua Lipa, PinkPantheress, Lizzo, and Charlie XCX all take it to the top on the official soundtrack.
