The name Moroka Swallows had not been in used since the club was relegated in the 2014-15 season under the leadership of Leon Prins.
And when Panyaza Lesufi and David Mogashoa revived the club through a status purchase in the National First Division (NFD), they named the club Swallows FC.
Lesufi and Mogashoa couldn’t use the Moroka Swallows name because of the issue involving Igor Alves who played for the Soweto outfit in 2008.
